S235JR Carbon Steel Coil & Sheet
Hot-rolled carbon steel coil and sheet to EN 10025-2
S235JR is the workhorse structural grade of the European standard: low carbon, easy to weld and easy to form, used wherever a part is pressed, welded and then painted or galvanised. Q235B, SS400 and A36 are treated as its near-equivalents, so most hot-rolled coil from China is sold under one of these four names. If your drawing specifies S235JR, we ship on a mill test certificate that states S235JR — not a ‘similar grade’ substituted at the port.
