201 Stainless Steel Sheet
Manganese-bearing austenitic stainless, low nickel
201 replaces most of the nickel in 304 with manganese and nitrogen, which cuts the cost substantially while keeping the surface bright and non-magnetic. Its corrosion resistance is below 304 — particularly in chlorides — but it is the standard choice for interior decorative work, kitchenware and appliance trim in cost-driven markets. It is also stronger than 304 in the annealed condition.
