50W470 Non-Oriented Electrical Steel Coil
Fully processed non-oriented electrical steel, 0.50 mm, GB/T 2521.1
50W470 is a high-grade non-oriented electrical steel: 0.50 mm thick with a guaranteed maximum core loss of 4.70 W/kg at 1.5 T and 50 Hz. The higher silicon content that delivers the low loss also makes the strip harder and more brittle, which is why 50W470 is selected for motors and generators where efficiency is designed in, not just for cheap laminations. Its European twin is M470-50A and the Baosteel designation is B50A470.
